Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in 2 cups of chocolate chips. For small cookies, use a tablespoon or cookie dough scoop to drop one-inch balls onto baking sheet. For giant cookies, like the ones pictured above, use 3 scoops of dough for each cookie.
Bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Before they cool, sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top. Then put desired toppings on top of the melting chocolate chips, so they stick on.
